Dr. Smile Medical Group, founded on July 1, 2014, is headquartered in Shanghai under the legal entity Shanghai Qiang Zhang Medical Technology Co., Ltd. The group was established by Dr. Qiang Zhang, a leading vascular surgeon in China. Today, Dr. Smile Medical Group operates a network of CHIVA vein centers across five major Chinese cities—Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Jinan. Each center is equipped with state-of-the-art hemodynamic assessment facilities and staffed by dedicated, full-time medical professionals, delivering high-quality care that meets international standards.

In 2023, the group opened its first overseas CHIVA center in Africa. The following year, Dr. Smile Medical Group launched operations in the United States, marking the beginning of its global expansion. In 2025, the group established its U.S. headquarters and Management Services Organization (MSO) in Manhattan, New York, completed NPI registration, and officially obtained its U.S. healthcare provider identification.
